How We Began

Teamer Strategy Group was founded by the late Cheryl R. Teamer in 2009. It began as a company dedicated to advocacy, business development, event coordination, government relations, project management, and strategic planning. In 2021, Dr. Barnes-Teamer assumed the role of CEO. However, she has begun her independent practice January 1, 2022.

Under her leadership, Teamer Strategy Group (TSG) has expanded its services to include administrative management; strategic enrollment management; workforce development; faculty and staff training; leadership searches; board development and training; research, assessment and evaluation; as well as consulting that promotes impact and engagement.

Cheryl R. Teamer

Cheryl R. Teamer, founder of Teamer Strategy Group, died on August 21, 2021. obtain her bachelor's degree in English from Spelman College. She also received her juris doctorate from Tulane University. Cheryl served as the Senior Vice President of Public Affairs for New Orleans & Company since 2014. She also owned a tour company titled Jazz Tours New Orleans. Cheryl was a former chairperson of the New Orleans Aviation Board and was integral in the development of the new airport. She also chaired the Greater New Orleans Foundation. She was involved on many levels of public affairs and government at the city, state, and national level. She was a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association and Junior League of Greater New Orleans. Cheryl served on several boards

Publish annual impact reports highlighting transformative results and best practices derived from TSG’s consulting engagements.
Strengthen collaborative relationships with stakeholders through regular feedback sessions and partnership reviews.
